On Friday, 13 March, Artipelag invites you as an Art.Pass member to an exclusive preview of Fredrik Wretman’s I C 3 D 2 and Apichaya Wanthiang’s January 2567 — and you are welcome to bring a guest. During the preview, Art.Pass members are invited to attend a conversation with the artists – a dialogue exploring the two artistic practices presented in parallel solo exhibitions, where space, material and perception take centre stage.

About the preview for Art.Pass members + a guest

Discover Fredrik Wretman’s exhibition, where the space is claimed through a monumental installation of bronze sculptures, and then continue into Apichaya Wanthiang’s exhibition to experience an immersive world of video, textile and painting. Together, the exhibitions open up a quiet dialogue on repetition, presence and perception.

At 2.00 pm, we invite you to a conversation with the artists Fredrik Wretman and Apichaya Wanthiang, moderated by curator Olga Krzeszowiec Malmsten. The talk will be held in Swedish and English.

Fredrik Wretman: 1 C 3 D 2

This spring, Artipelag presents a solo exhibition by Fredrik Wretman, one of Sweden's most distinctive contemporary artists. Wretman, born in 1953 in Stockholm, divides his time between his home city and Chiang Mai in Thailand — two environments that shape his artistic practice in different ways.

Apichaya Wanthiang: January 2567

This spring, Artipelag presents the first solo exhibition in Sweden by the artist Apichaya Wanthiang. Wanthiang is known for her immersive installations where painting, architecture and perception are interwoven. She was born in 1987 in Bangkok, grew up in northeastern Thailand and Belgium, and has been based in Norway since 2012.
