To accompany Artipelag’s newly opened exhibition The Muses - Inspiring and Challenging Picasso, Bådan Café & Pâtisserie presents a special pastry inspired by the exhibition.
About the Exhibition Pastry
The pastry draws inspiration from artist Françoise Gilot’s work Joueuse de Mandoline (1953), featured in the current exhibition. It consists of a chocolate bavarois with orange cream, dark chocolate crémeux, almond crisp and almond base, topped with whipped citrus ganache and orange glaze. The decoration, made of chocolate, features rounded, organic shapes inspired by the abstract yet vibrant expression of Gilot’s artistic language. The color palette is subtle and refined, reflecting her sense of tone and nuance.
