Artipelag Tour
Welcome to a guided tour of Artipelag, where you will discover both the history of the site and the exhibition My Creative Life – From Cookie Tin to the Oscars by Lillemor Jakobson, co-founder of Artipelag.
About the tour
Over approximately 40 minutes, we share the story of how Artipelag came to be – what the name "Artipelag" means, and how Lillemor and Björn Jakobson chose to create an art museum in the Swedish archipelago.
The tour also includes a visit to Lillemor Jakobson’s jubilee exhibition, where we for the first time present her multifaceted creative work in a single exhibition – from early sketches to finished pieces – through drawings, textile works, watercolours and design projects.
Parts of the tour take place outdoors, where we also view a selection of sculptures in Artipelag’s natural surroundings.
Information
The guided tour is free of charge. Advance booking is available, but participation is also possible without a reservation, subject to availability.

Time: 11:30 (Swedish) and 14:00 (English)
Meeting point at the main entrance. The tour takes place partly indoors and partly outdoors.
