IKEA + HAY
August 22, 2017, saw the premier viewing of the YPPERLIG collection, IKEA’S new design collaboration with Danish HAY at Artipelag. Bloggers, journalists, and influencers in furnishings and design were invited to the unveiling of the collection in Artipelag’s grandiose foyer.
The premier viewing was split into two separate events, one in the morning and one in the evening. At both, guests were served classic Danish “smörrebröd” with toppings such as prawns, roast beef, and brie, served with energy-boosting smoothies. At the morning viewing, 70 curious guests came along to enjoy a great breakfast and to see the latest products. Those who couldn’t take part in the morning had the chance to see the collection in the evening instead. At 6 pm, the second group of around 80 guests arrived at Artipelag via their choice of boat, bus, or car.
The launch was arranged through communications agency Futurniture.
