Bådan Café & Pâtisserie

Bådan Café & Pâtisserie is located on the ground floor, and is named after the huge Gneiss rock, or ’båda’ in local archipelago-language. The rock has been eroded to its current beautiful, rounded shape by the ice age, and today, it emerges out of the floor in the middle of our Café.

Take a seat indoors to enjoy the beautiful architecture and panoramic view over the archipelago. During spring, summer, and fall, Artipelag’s large outdoor terrace is open, offering afternoon sun and a beautiful view of Baggensfjärden.

After Art – Friday Evenings on the Terrace

Welcome to enjoy summer evenings on the terrace overlooking Baggensfjärden. Every Friday until 14 August, we are open until 9 PM and serve a selection of sharing plates, sparkling wine, and other refreshments.

Take the opportunity to explore the exhibition MUCHA – Beyond Art Nouveau, which is also open during the evening.

Our Café Selection

All pastries and bread are created from scratch in a craft and quality-conscious manner by Artipelag’s experienced pastry chefs and bakers.

Classic baked goods and bread are complemented by more modern creations. The food is prepared by Artipelag’s skilled chefs, with both the pâtisserie and kitchen drawing inspiration from the surrounding nature, emphasizing seasonality and locally sourced ingredients.

Artipelag named best restaurant/café in Stockholm’s Favourite Museum 2026

Artipelag has been named the winner in the Best Restaurant/Café category in Evimetrix’s annual survey Stockholm’s Favourite Museum — an honour we are very proud of. The award is based on reviews from nearly 1,600 Stockholm residents who shared their views on 41 museums in the county.

The survey is conducted annually, with residents of Stockholm County sharing their opinions on museums in the region, assessing everything from atmosphere and exhibitions to the restaurant and café experience. Artipelag last received this award in 2020.
