The exhibition was the first time that her artwork was be in Sweden in a large exhibition. The exhibition included about 100 works spanning from 1968 up until today. She was educated at the D\u00fcsseldorf Art Academy where she first studied film under Ole John and thereafter photography under Bernd and Hilla Becher. Candida H\u00f6fer\u2019s work has been shown in solo exhibitions at museums such as Kunsthalle Basel, Kunsthalle Bern, Portikus in Frankfurt, and at the Hamburger Kunsthalle. In 2012, she took part in the renowned <em>Dokumenta 11<\/em> exhibition at Kassel, Germany. In 2003, she represented (together with Martin Kippenberger) Germany at the world famous <em>Venice Biennial<\/em> art exhibition in Italy (<em>Biennale di Venezia). <\/em>Candida H\u00f6fer is represented at several of the world\u2019s most important museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm.
