How much do we stand up for what we think and believe in such a situation? A light, sound, video- and music experience in which you sit, stand or walk around in whilst five actors perform choreographed, directed situations. The work is created specifically for Artipelag\u2019s 1200 sqm Artbox. It feels exciting to create choreography in a room where the visitors choose themselves how to experience the work, that is new to me. How man uses power in different contexts and how powerlessness may arise in a group. The work is two hours long and performed during the opening hours. yearly awards to those with a desire to communicate, provide information, illustrate or otherwise convey knowledge of the Holocaust. Alexander Ekman and Frailty of Man received the scholarship in 2020 with the motivation:<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"max-w-screen-md mt-5 mx-auto first:mt-0\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p class=\"text-xl md:text-3xl lg:text-4xl tracking-tight\">&#8220;The 2020 scholarship is awarded choreographer and director Alexander Ekman for his film installation about the vast and complex questions the memory of the Holocaust raises. In this art project, Alexander explores our powerlessness, our courage and our civil courage and invites young people as well as adults to a self-reflect on their own responsibility. By doing this, not only will the memory of the Holocaust be alive, but the project also raises the realization that it is possible for everyone to prevent something like this from ever happening
