Participants

Mika Takehara is a versatile percussionist and marimba musician. With roots in Japan, she has established herself as a prominent soloist and sought-after collaborator worldwide in classical music, electro-acoustic music, jazz, and film music. After studying marimba at Toho Gakuen University of Music in Tokyo, she continued her education in Sweden under the guidance of Anders Loguin. She obtained her soloist diploma in Stockholm with the highest grade at the age of 23. Mika has performed with several prominent orchestras worldwide, including the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also an esteemed member of Maestro Seiji Ozawa’s Saito Kinen Orchestra. Her musical breadth ranges from classical to contemporary, and she is an artist whose influence extends far beyond just the traditional boundaries.

Torbjörn was born in 1959 in Emmaboda. He was educated at Konstfackskolan and Konsthögskolan in Stockholm, graduating in 1992. Torbjörn Johansson loves color, which he works in a variety of ways. He works with physical color but also with digital color. He colors rooms as installations in galleries and museums, as well as in public spaces. Part of his interest in color is connected to music, where color and music interact. Torbjörn Johansson has collaborated with both musicians and choreographers, such as in “one of them is red” at the Moderna Museet in 2012.
